The Savanna Bananas are to baseball what the Harlem Globetrotters are to basketball. The game is (basically) the same but the fun, irreverence and antics make “Banana Ball” a must-see experience. And fans flocking to see the Bananas and their opponents, including the Party Animals, prove that fun and baseball can co-exist. The Bananas are a staple on social media and pack stadiums with fans who show up hours before first pitch to enjoy the antics. Banana Ball is full of trick plays, fan engagement and showmanship where players spend time dancing to choreographed routines, batting on stilts and other stunts – often during the throes of the competition. However, the baseball skill of the Bananas and their opponents is legit. Most of the players had dreams of the Bigs with many either playing in the minor leagues or college. While the Big Show didn’t call for the Bananas or Party Animals, they are major leaguers when it comes to fun.
