
Allyssa Parker, a right-handed pitcher from Pocola High School, has been named the 2024–2025 Gatorade Oklahoma Softball Player of the Year, marking her second consecutive win of this prestigious honor. This recognition underscores her exceptional talent and dedication to the sport.
Standing at 5-foot-11, Parker led Pocola to a remarkable 34–1 record and a runner-up finish in the Class 2A state championship. Her pitching prowess was evident with a 28–1 record, a minuscule 0.10 ERA, 224 strikeouts, and a .097 opponent batting average. Offensively, she contributed a .377 batting average, 12 home runs, 39 RBIs, 52 runs scored, and 25 stolen bases, showcasing her versatility and all-around skill .
Beyond her athletic achievements, Parker excels academically with a 4.0 GPA and is actively involved in her community. She serves as a member of the Pocola High School Student Council and volunteers at a local homeless shelter, demonstrating her leadership and commitment to service .
Parker’s exceptional abilities have earned her a place in the University of Oklahoma’s 2025 softball recruiting class, where she joins a group of elite athletes. Head coach Patty Gasso describes her as “the most versatile athlete of this 2025 class,” highlighting her potential to make significant contributions both on the mound and in the field .
