The University of Hawai’i water polo team, ranked third and fourth in the national polls, travels to Southern California for a three-game road stretch with matchups against No. 12 UC San Diego on Thursday, April 10, No. 4 UCLA on Saturday, April 12 and Cal State Fullerton on Sunday, April 13 to conclude the regular season. UH’s matchup with the Tritons on Thursday is set for 6:00 p.m. PT (3:00 p.m. HT) at the Canyonview Aquatic Center in La Jolla, Calif. The Rainbow Wahine pause Big West action when they take on the Bruins on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. PT (3:00 p.m. HT) at the Spieker Aquatics Center in Los Angeles, Calif. UH concludes the regular season with the conference matchup against Cal State Fullerton on Sunday with the opening sprint scheduled for noon PT (9:00 a.m. HT) at the Fullerton College Pool in Fullerton, Calif. UH can clinch a share of the Big West regular-season title with a win over UC San Diego or Cal State Fullerton this week, and can secure the outright title with wins in both matchups.

Daisy Logtens ranks fourth in the league with 141 saves (46.5 SV%). Bernadette Doyle leads the team with 33 steals, followed by Logtens with 24 steals. Camille Radosavljevic leads the team and ranks second in the Big West with 12 field blocks. THE MATCHUPS No. 12/9 UC San Diego UH has won the last seven meetings with UC San Diego dating back to March 11, 2021. UH defeated UC San Diego, 17-10, last season in the semifinal of the Big West Championships. UH has won the last two meetings against UC San Diego at the Canyonview Aquatics Center, including 12-10 win on March 30, 2023 and a 12-8 victory on March 11, 2021. UC San Diego utility Caroline Christl and attacker Courtney Okumura rank in the top 10 in goals in the conference. Christl and Okumura rank second and 10th respectively in the league. The Triton goalie duo of Lexi Stahl and Bria Zwaschka rank in the top 10 in saves in the Big West. Stahl ranks ninth with 92 saves and Zwaschka ranks 10th with 84 saves. UC San Diego was ranked 12th in last weeks CWPA poll and ninth in the ACWPC poll. No. 3/4 UCLA UH won the last meeting against UCLA, 8-5, in the third place match of the Barbara Kalbus Invitational on Feb. 23, 2025. The win was UH’s first over the Bruins since Feb. 24, 2011 and snapped UCLA’s 21-match winning streak in the series. UCLA has won the last three meetings in Los Angeles, beginning with a win on Feb. 1, 2019. UH’s last defeated UCLA at the Spieker Aquatics Center on Feb. 24, 2011, earning an 8-6 overtime victory. UCLA utility Anna Pearson leads the Bruins and ranks 10th in the MPSF with 45 goals. UCLA goalie Lauren Steele leads the MPSF in saves (175) and save percentage (70.3). Former Rainbow Wahine center Bia Mantellato ranks second on the Bruins with 38 goals. UCLA was ranked fourth in last weeks CWPA poll and third in the ACWPC poll. Head coach James Robinson is a graduate of UCLA and was a member of three national championship teams with the Bruins (2014, ’15 and ’17). Robinson also spent four years as an assistant coach for the UCLA women’s team (2019-22). Cal State Fullerton UH won the last matchup against Cal State Fullerton, 19-4, in the opening round of the Triton Invitational on Jan. 31, 2025. UH is 4-0 all-time against Cal State Fullerton, and have outscored the Titans 77-17 in those four matches. UH defeated Cal State Fullerton 20-3 in the first meeting between the programs on March 31, 2023, in Fullerton, Calif. The Titans have not beaten a ranked opponent this season. Cal State Fullerton goalie Annabelle Sherman has the most saves (191) and the fourth-highest save percentage (46.5) in the conference. Cal State Fullerton utility Emme Doube-MacLeod and utility Destiny Hernandez share the team-lead in goals with 40 a piece.
