PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla.
One man has died after drowning in Panama City Beach on Saturday.
According to Panama City Beach Beach Safety officials, it happened near Tropic Winds at around 4 p.m. Officials say single-red flags were flying at the time.
We’re told bystanders pulled a man in his mid-sixties out of the water.
CPR was performed on him until EMS arrived.
The man was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Beach Safety Officials are urging beachgoers to call 911 if they see someone in distress rather than risking their own life.
They also encourage residents to subscribe to their text alerts, so they know what flags are flying.
