A’ja Wilson’s Halloween looks are a blast from the past: Check out her spot-on costumes

The Aces star has a tradition of dazzling fans with multiple costumes each Halloween.

Wilson has done it again. Like clockwork each Halloween, the Las Vegas Aces forward sent the Internet into a frenzy with her creative and unique takes on characters from an iconic childhood series, thrilling her thousands of Instagram followers.

For the past few years, the WNBA star has made it her mission to recreate the looks of her favorite characters and shows in celebration of Halloween, sharing her nostalgia and flair with fans on social media.

A couple of years back, Wilson wowed fans with her playful take on the “Scooby-Doo” gang, nailing the looks of Velma, Shaggy, Daphne, Fred, and even Scooby himself. Followers were quick to praise her impressive interpretations.

In 2023, she upped the ante by bringing to life the main cast of the beloved early 2000s show “Codename: Kids Next Door.” Wilson’s wardrobe transformed her into each of the show’s core characters: Nigel Uno (Numbuh 1), Hoagie Gilligan (Numbuh 2), Kuki Sanban (Numbuh 3), Wally Beetles (Numbuh 4), and Abby Lincoln (Numbuh 5).

Recess time with A’ja Wilson

This year, Wilson took her costume game to a new level by embodying the cast of the beloved 1997 classic, Recess. Staying true to form, Wilson used everyday pieces to assemble her costumes.

For T.J. Detweiler, she sported white sneakers, baggy jeans, a white T-shirt, a green jacket, and a red baseball cap. Mikey Blumberg’s look came together with brown pants and a white shirt, while Gretchen Grundler was instantly recognizable with her light blue dress and glasses.

Her transformation into Gus Griswald featured a long-sleeved khaki shirt and green shorts, while Vince LaSalle’s athletic style was captured in a basketball uniform. Lastly, Wilson nailed the look of Ashley Spinelli with a black leather jacket and orange beanie.

Fans couldn’t get enough, praising Wilson’s creativity and sense of humor. It’s a challenge to top these costumes next Halloween, but with the Aces star’s imagination, fans are already looking forward to what’s next.
