WNBA Fans Crushed By Latest Update On Cameron Brink’s Scary Injury.
After driving to the hoop early in the Los Angeles Sparks’ Tuesday game against the Connecticut Sun, Cameron Brink appeared to slip and fall.
She immediately grabbed her left knee while screaming in pain as her teammates gathered around the No. 2 pick in the recent WNBA draft.
Brink hobbled to the bench, but that was as far as she made it under her own power. Two trainers eventually carried her to the locker room. Immediately, fans and athletes took to social media to send prayers her way.
Unfortunately for Brink, her injury was confirmed to be what many were speculating: a torn ACL.
The team took to social media on Wednesday to confirm the injury, which led fans to offer their support for Brink and express disappointment about the situation on social media.
Aside from her rookie season being cut short after just 15 games, Brink is also expected to miss the upcoming Olympics where she was named to Team USA’s 3X3 roster.
