What does Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone’s husband do for a living? All about Andre Levrone’s career
Olympic champion Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone is married to former NFL player Andre Levrone. The 29-year-old is at present a member of the Master’s Seminary, which is administered by the Grace Community Church in Los Angeles, California.
Before devoting himself to Christianity, Andre Levrone was a wide receiver in the NFL. He initially used to play for the Virginia Cavaliers college football team till 2018 before joining the Baltimore Ravens for a brief tenure. He later played for the Carolina Panthers until his early retirement in 2020.
In a podcast with Sadie Robertson in November 2022, McLaughlin-Levrone mentioned about her spiritual relationship with her husband, stating:
“We are only six months in but I can see so much already just the fruit of our marriage and the union that we have, which like you said, it’s rare these days.
People wanna be independent, especially the modern age of feminism and stuff that we live in but there’s such a beauty to understanding your role as a godly woman for your husband who’s a godly man. It’ll leave you out of so much tension that the world brings.”
McLaughlin-Levrone first met her husband in 2020, and slowly bonded over their devotion towards Christianity. In her interview with The Knot in 2022, the Olympic champion in 400m hurdles revealed that it was the invitation for a Bible study with her future husband that attracted her towards him.
Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone married Andre Levrone after dating for two years in early 2022.
The relationship started with an Instagram DM, which later developed into a strong relationship over the couple’s affinity towards their Christian faith.
In a podcast titled ‘The It Girls’ , the Olympic champion recounted her first date with her would be husband, and how he used the excuse of a business meeting for the same. In her words,
“Yeah, we talked like just as friends I think for maybe two months before we really started dating because he made it intentional. He was like I want to be your friend first. I want to know you. During that time, this was still COVID-19 [2020] like September, October, November.
He’s like, ‘yeah I have to come to LA for a business meeting so maybe I’ll see you.’ ”
At that time, the world was just recovering from the after effects of the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. Most businesses were shut, while the rest were working on a work-from-home module. McLaughlin-Levrone understood that her would be husband was actually asking her out.
“I’m like, ‘during COVID-19 bro, there’s no business meetings happening’,” the Olympic champion further added.
However, once the two met each other, the relationship grew stronger. A few months after the Tokyo Olympics, Andre Levrone proposed to Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, and within a few months, the two were married. Levrone accompanied the hurdler to Paris to cheer for her during the Olympics, where she won her second consecutive gold medal in the women’s 400m hurdles.
