USC’s JuJu Watkins partners with Gatorade in multiyear deal
USC women’s basketball player JuJu Watkins is the latest athlete to partner with Gatorade as part of new multiyear deal.
This is the third NIL deal that PepsiCo-owned Gatorade has done after prior pacts with UConn G Paige Bueckers and former Iowa G Caitlin Clark.
Watkins, who was a first-team All-American last season and national freshman of the year, will be among Gatorade endorsers featured in a national ad campaign that will roll out later this fall. It’s been a busy week for Watkins, who also extended a deal with Nike.
In the spring, she was featured in an AT&T spot around March Madness and has also deals with Celsius and NerdWallet. Watkins is repped by Klutch Sports agent Jade-Li English, who was an SBJ Game Changers honoree this year.
Other athletes that have joined Gatorade this year include USWNT and NWSL Portland Thorns F Sophia Smith, Ravens QB Lamar Jackson, Vikings WR Justin Jefferson, Rams WR Puka Nacua, Blackhawks C Connor Bedard (in Canada), WNBA Las Vegas Aces C A’ja Wilson and Mavericks G Luka Doncic.
