Watkins recently concluded an impressive, record-breaking freshman season.
She set a new NCAA record for the most points scored by a freshman with a total of 920.
She broke the previous record of 898 points held by Tina Hutchinson in the 1983-84 season and stood for four decades.
Additionally, Watkins earned the title of Pac-12 Freshman
Additionally, Watkins earned the title of Pac-12 Freshman of the Week 13 times and broke the record for the most 30-point games by a USC freshman, previously held by WNBA Hall of Famer Lisa Leslie.
Beyond her athletic accomplishments, Watkins has an equally impressive resume off the court. She is dedicated to honoring her grandfather’s legacy after he founded the Watts Labor Community Action Committee following the 1965 Watts Riots.
