Update on Hannah Coor’s injury: OU softball OF is still sidelined but is getting closer to rejoining the Sooners

After suffering an apparent ankle injury on opening day, OU softball outfielder Hannah Coor is nearing a return.

“I think she’s going to get out of the boot this week and doing rehab at least twice a day,” Sooners coach Patty Gasso said. “So she’s not too far. She’s definitely going to be back in commission.”

Coor was 2 for 4 with an RBI on the season’s first day, going 2 for 4 before suffering the injury on second base in OU’s second game of the day at San Diego State.

Coor has struggled with injuries during her career at OU, most notably with a back injury that limited her to four appearances in 2023.

With Coor out, Ella Parker has seen more time in the outfield.

The Sooners (10-0) open their home slate Saturday against Abilene Christian at noon at Love’s Field before playing Bowling Green in the second game of a doubleheader.
