It’s been a busy spring for Clemson football coach Dabo Swinney. Outside of having to answer questions for a disappointing end to the 2024 season and the transfer portal, he has been piecing together quite the roster for 2025 and he has some budding stars standing out during spring ball. Guys like Gideon Davidson are looking like future stars while Clemson is trying to get that edge back that made it great a few years back. On top of all of this, Dabo is recruiting at an elite level in the 2026 class, vaulting it to No. 2 nationally after a massive week to start the month of March. Yet his mind is also on the 2027 group and he’s working on landing one of the top overall prospects from that cycle. Five-star linebacker Kaden Henderson will be on campus this weekend, according to his X. While the spring game isn’t until April 5, it will be good to get Henderson on campus to get a taste of the program in the middle of spring ball. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound linebacker from Tampa, Fla., is ranked the No. 25 overall recruit in the 2027 class and the No. 1 at the position. Clemson currently has zero commits in the 2027 class but this is a good sign that Swinney is working on getting some dominoes to fall. I do think Henderson’s recruitment will be a marathon, but it’s a good start for Clemson to get him on campus and try to take an early lead. There’s still a long way to go here.
