There’s a party with a purpose taking place in Panama City Beach this weekend. The Panama City Parrot Head’s Club is hosting its 22nd Parrot Head Rendezvous at Sharky’s. Today marked day two of this three-day event. The first day was live performances from local bands. The second day featured young and up-and-coming pop rock bands from around the nation. Organizers said they planned for everyone to have a good time, but the goal of the event has always been to give back. ”As you mature and get older you realize you’ve got a lot to give, and you want to give back to people who don’t have as much,” said Patrick Mudd, the President of Panama City Parrot Head Club. “So we try to find organizations that need our assistance in order to help the community. And we want to do 100% of our charity work for Bay County.“ All the proceeds from this year’s Parrot Head Rendezvous will be donated to The Ark in Panama City Beach to help those going through a hardship in life and need a helping hand.
