The 25-year-old further explained how ‘recentering and reorienting’ God at the center of her life has helped her in making things simpler for her. She said:
“Something like your job or your career or whatever it is that’s not a solid foundation, right? Like you’re not gonna win every race, which I haven’t.
You’re not gonna always be the best at whatever you do and so to place your identity in something that is always changing is going to constantly put your value and your view of yourself in flux. So, it was the recentering and reorienting of those islands to have God at the center that aligned the rest of my life.”
