REVEALED: Susanna Reid’s secret battle with This Morning in ITV boss row over guests
Susanna Reid has formed an alliance with ITV’s Lorraine Kelly after her behind-the-scenes row following ratings crisis.
Susanna Reid and Lorraine Kelly were reportedly left fuming after ITV bosses decided to push focus on This Morning earlier this year. It was said the 53-year-old was angry that a focus had been placed on the rival chat show.
While This Morning battled plummeting ratings, producers were left scrambling to get A-list celebrities on the show in a bid to boost figures. According to The Sun, Susanna and pal Lorraine, 64, were both “been vocal” about their frustrations.
The stars claimed they were missing out on interviewing big names for the shows and felt sidelined.
Back in March This Morning unveiled Cat Deely and Ben Shephard as the new faces of the show after it was spun to chaos for months.
Last year long-standing presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby both stepped down from their positions which meant there was a quest to find fresh new hosts to bring something new to the programme. Since Cat, 47, and Ben’s, 49 arrival, they have been fortunate enough to interview some huge names in Hollywood.
They have caught up with the likes of Ryan Gosling, Meghan Trainer and Steve Carrell in recent months. An insider claimed there was infighting between the production crews.
