One recruiting service has Kentucky’s 2025 class ranked No. 1 overall
The Cats are back in a familiar spot
The past few months have been tumultuous for the Kentucky Wildcats basketball team.
The Cats welcomed new head coach Mark Pope and fielded an entirely new team heading into the 2024-25 season.
There have been many questions about the UK program, particularly what recruiting will look like in a new era for the program.
Well, Coach Pope and his staff answered that one early, as they landed two top-30 prospects in the class of 2025: 5-star guard Jasper Johnson and 4-star center Malachi Moreno.
To add an exclamation point to that answer, the Cats also currently hold the No. 1 recruiting class according to the On3 rankings.
Now, there is plenty of time for these rankings to fluctuate, but with some of the big-time recruits expected on campus in the coming weeks, you have to like where things stand for the Cats to potentially land a top-five recruiting class in the staff’s first full recruiting cycle.
