Nikola Jokic Loses Trust of Nuggets Teammates After Hilarious Mishap, Leaving Fans in Disarray
Has Jokic’s mishap really shaken the Nuggets’ trust, or is it just blown out of proportion?
From the Nuggets roster, who doesn’t trust Nikola Jokic? Novak Djokovic, in fact, once sent his flowers, stating, “He’s the pride of Serbia!” So what’s the issue at hand then? Finding success in the NBA, the Serb has always kept his nationality close to his heart.
For quite some time, however, proof of the goofy hooper’s roots became a major topic of conversation. Given that he hadn’t updated the picture in his passport, it still carried an image of a younger and chubby Jokic, igniting laughs from many.
Now, the Nuggets star’s passport is once again in the limelight, but for a different reason.
Earlier today, the Nuggets squad members were asked who they would trust their passports with. DeAndre Jordan didn’t hesitate in stating that while he loves Nikola Jokic, he would be the last person the Center would choose to give the official document to! Not because he would misplace it accidentally, but because, “He may try to get rid of my passport.”
The MVP himself didn’t choose to provide a defense, as the Serb openly admitted, “I mean, I lost my passport, so nobody.”
Even Jamal Murray backed out from naming Nikola Jokic once he learned what had happened! Unless for an emergency, the hooper won’t have to return to Serbia, probably for another 8 months. 9, if the Nuggets make it far in the playoffs! That provides more than enough time for him, or anyone else, to find the passport!
Keeping what happens in the future aside, however, losing something like a passport always makes for a good story, especially when it involves one of the goofiest players in the NBA.
Therefore, it wasn’t surprising when Jokic’s brief remark ended up igniting reactions from all sides.
Nikola Jokic’s forgetful persona comes into the limelight after the Serb admits losing his passport!
Kicking off the trend of focusing on the NBA MVP, one social media user questioned his carefulness by asking “Jokic got back from Serbia 3 days ago how the f–k did he lose his passport,” accompanied by a crying emoji?
Believe it or not, but this isn’t the first time that Nikola Jokic has lost an important thing, and the fact wasn’t hidden from the public. After securing the championship title in 2023, the Serbian also received his first and only Finals MVP Award.
In an interview with ESPN reporter Malika Andrews, a few days after the season concluded, she asked him about the silverware’s whereabouts, since he didn’t carry it with him.
Jokic replied, “I really don’t know. I left it in (equipment manager Sparky Gonzales’) room and it’s not there anymore. So, I don’t know. But hopefully it can arrive in my house.”
Malika Andrews later reported that the trophy had reached the player’s home safely.
Another individual highlighted the player’s unpredictability by writing, “With this video we learn that Jokic lost his (passport).
He is the most random person ever.” ‘Random’ is certainly a good adjective to use when describing Nikola Jokic.
One day, he will appear in a Minions commercial to tell them that he is not Gru. Another day, he will goof around with the referee during tip-off, distracting everyone. No matter what, most of his acts of ‘randomness’ are sure to bring a smile to the faces of fans in general.
