Kelsey Plum Could NOT RETURN to the Las Vegas Aces in 2025.
With the WNBA Season coming down to the wire, we’re looking ahead to this upcoming offseason with players that might not return to their current team. Here’s a breakdown on why the Las Vegas Aces G Kelsey Plum has a huge decision this offseason.
Kelsey Plum is a big name that could possibly not return to the Las Vegas Aces. Plum didn’t get an extension alongside Jackie Young, Chelsea Young, and A’ja Wilson.
This makes this situation quite interesting, as the Aces extended three out of the four who are literally their core, this could possibly mean Plum might want a different opportunity.
There are quite a few teams who need a point guard, or don’t have a point guard with the skills that Plum has.
Already a two-time WNBA champion, multiple Olympic gold medals, Plum has pretty much gained everything with the Las Vegas Aces, which is why we can make the assumption that she is not guaranteed to be back with the Aces next year.
What is interesting is, 2024 is not Kelsey Plum’s best year, but she is such an elite player that teams will be intrigued by her no matter what.
It is also an inference that she could possibly end up with the Golden State Valkyries, which nothing is set in stone in how everything will work with the expansion team during the offseason, but it is a possibility if we look at how the WNBA has handled expansion teams in the past.
