NEW YORK — Mark Leiter Jr. was the high-profile acquisition in the bullpen for the Yankees leading up to this week’s trade deadline, but the organization has high hopes for Enyel De Los Santos as well, another right-handed reliever with strikeout stuff.
“I really love the depth that he adds,” Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Friday. “There’s a lot of really good options [in our bullpen], whether it’s closing out a game, trying to piece something together in the middle innings. I feel like De Los Santos can add to that.”
