Hogs Take Miami To Close Out Non-Conference Slate
The No. 25 Razorbacks will get their last non-conference tests of the season this weekend as Arkansas heads to Miami for the 305 Challenge.
The Hogs will play three matches in three days: versus Miami on Thursday, Sept. 19 at 5 p.m., Florida International on Friday at 4 p.m. and Texas Tech on Saturday at 11 a.m. The opening and final match of the weekend will be on the University of Miami campus, while Arkansas’ match against FIU will be hosted in the Panthers’ gym.
It’s the first time that the Razorbacks have ever played the Hurricanes, who defeated No. 1 Texas earlier in the season and checked in at No. 20 in last week’s AVCA coaches poll.
This weekend will mark only the second meetings between Arkansas and both FIU and Texas Tech. The Hogs are 1-0 against the Panthers and 0-1 against the Red Raiders all-time.
The Razorbacks are 8-1 so far in the non-conference slate, their only loss coming in five sets last week to Tulsa. Of the team’s eight wins, six have been sweeps, and Arkansas has dropped just six of 32 sets played.
Both Thursday and Friday’s matches will be streamed on ACCNX and ESPN+, respectively. Live stats for all three contests will be provided via StatBroadcast.
