Kenny has a total of 27 Professional wins, with 14 of them being PGA Tour wins.
In 2008 at Valhalla Golf Club (Louisville, Kentucky), Kenny helped Team USA defeat Team Europe to win The Ryder Cup. It was USA’s largest margin of victory since 1981, and it was the first time since 1979 that America held the lead after every session of play. Fellow Kentuckian’ J. B. Holmes, who is from Campbellsville, was a member of Team USA as well.
With Kenny’s victory at The Memorial Tournament in 2008, Kenny joined Tiger Woods as the only player to win Jack Nicklaus’ tournament 3 times.
In 1993, Kenny was inducted into the Kentucky Golf Hall of Fame. In 1994, he was inducted in the Western Kentucky University Hall of Fame. In 2008, Mr. Perry was inducted into the Lipscomb University’s Athletics Hall of Fame. In 2013 Kenny was named 2013 Champions Tour Player of the Year.
