Crews Work Around the Clock to Set Up 2025 Gulf Coast Jam in Panama City Beach

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. — With just days to go before the 2025 Gulf Coast Jam kicks off, crews are working tirelessly to bring one of the Southeast’s biggest country music festivals to life. The multi-day event, set to take place in Frank Brown Park, is expected to draw tens of thousands of fans from across the country.

“Everything has to be done by hand,” said festival coordinator Mark Jenkins. “We bring in the stages, lighting rigs, fencing, food vendors everything is built from the ground up.”

Now in its 13th year, the Gulf Coast Jam has grown into a major event for Panama City Beach, boosting tourism and local business. The festival’s headliners this year include some of country music’s biggest names, along with a host of rising stars.

Crews began arriving early this week, unloading semi-trucks packed with equipment and assembling massive structures on the park’s open fields. From building the main stage to setting up VIP areas and sound systems, every detail is carefully orchestrated.

“There’s a lot of coordination involved,” Jenkins added. “We’re working with local contractors, electricians, and logistics teams to make sure everything’s ready in time.”

Local hotels and restaurants are also preparing for the influx of visitors, with many reporting full bookings for the weekend.

The festival is scheduled to run from May 30 through June 2, with gates opening each day at 1 p.m. Security, sanitation, and traffic control measures are all in place to handle the expected crowds.

For fans and organizers alike, the energy is building.

“Once the gates open and the music starts, it’s all worth it,” Jenkins said. “Until then, it’s all hands on deck.”
