Chloe Kelly makes Man City contract admission after ‘disappointing’ end to season
Kelly is out of contract at the end of the season but she insists she remains fully focused on Manchester City.
Chloe Kelly says she is not thinking about her future despite being out of contract at the end of the season and is instead “focused” on delivering for Manchester City.
The England international joined the Blues from Everton in 2020 but could leave on a free transfer next summer if she fails to agree a new deal at the Joie Stadium.
Kelly made 21 Women’s Super League (WSL) appearances last term although she lost her place in the starting line-up towards the end of the season – something she admits to being frustrated about.
“I think I hold myself to a high level,” she said. “And last season, I felt like I was having a good season in terms of goals and assists and I was on track.
But football’s football. I think sometimes you can’t write the script, and I think for me, it’s about staying focused on myself and not letting anyone take you off your journey.
