Brad Gushue is already dreaming of playing in front of hometown fans when Brier returns to NL in 2026.

Just feet from a large, mounted moose head, Brad Gushue gave away what might’ve been the worst-kept secret in St. John’s curling circles: the City of St. John’s and the Mary Brown’s Centre (MBC) will host the 2026 Montana’s Brier.

The announcement, held at Montana’s restaurant on Kenmount Road, was met with an excited round of applause for the event’s impending return to the city of legends after a decade.

“I feel very comfortable and confident speaking on behalf of (my team), and also all of the top male curlers in the country, that we are thrilled and excited to be back here in St. John’s and hopefully, experience the passion and excitement we had in 2017,” said Gushue.
