The driver said she doesn’t remember anything.
“I don’t know. I just know that I must have had a seizure. I had a seizure, I just found out I had seizures,” Porter said.
“It was a big crash, boom, because it flipped front to back. It was the worst sound I ever heard,” said Tyler Fisk, a 13-year-old neighbor.
Tyler called 911.
“I gave them the address. I told them it was a 12-year-old. Got thrown from the car and came and laid down. He was hurt very bad,” Tyler said.
By the time paramedics arrived, everybody was out of the car and the house.
“Pulling up on the scene and seeing the damage done to the house and the car, we were expecting a lot more,” explained James Lucas, a spokesperson for Marion County Fire Rescue.
Porter and her grandson were taken to the hospital, treated and released.
“God has been good. He spared my life and I just truly thank God. Yes, the Lord had his angels watching over us,” Porter said.
Tyler said his step-grandmother lives in a house nearby and was just inches away from where the car came through.
The woman was not hurt, just shaken up. Tyler said the driver came to the house Wednesday.
