At the B.C. competition, the Kelowna Water Polo Club team won a medal.

The 14U and 16U girls team from the Kelowna Water Polo Club took bronze medals the BC Water Polo Provincial Tournament the weekend of April 5-6 at Guilford Aquatic Centre in Surrey.

The community boys team put in a strong performance against tough opposition as well, according a media release from the team. Liam Halsall claimed bronze at 16U and gold at 14U playing with the high performance club Pacific Storm.

Many of these players will be heading to Water Polo Canada Western Finals in the first weekend in May.

As well, the second Kelowna Classic Lake Water Polo Tournament will take place on July 12-13 at Colds Sands Beach.
