Abby Steiner shares glimpses from her Lexington trip after missing out on 2024 Paris Olympics
Days after missing the Paris Olympics, two-time world champion Abby Steiner recently gave her fans a sneak peek into her visit to Lexington, Kentucky.
Steiner is a 16-time state individual champion and holds four high school track and field records.
The 24-year-old athlete missed the opportunity to participate in her first Olympic Games this year in Paris after she failed to qualify for the competition in June.
She finished sixth in the 200m qualifying finals during the trials and missed out on one of the top three spots needed for the ticket to the Paris Olympics. Shortly after the trials, she announced an injury setback in August and took a hiatus from track and field.
In a recent update, Steiner took a trip to Lexington, Kentucky, and shared pictures of the same on her Instagram stories. The first picture showed a lush garden featuring tall trees and a sunny blue sky in the background.
“A weekend in Lex was good for the soul” she wrote in the caption.
In the second picture, the runner flaunted a horse tattoo on her left arm while showcasing a gold ring and a bracelet.
The former Dublin Coffman High School and Kentucky runner further dropped a selfie, a picture of a bottle of wine, a glass of red wine, a cocktail with an olive garnish, and a short video of a band performing in Keeneland.
Lastly, she shared a picture of herself sitting on a metal chair, wearing a black-and-white checkered dress paired with cowboy boots.
