Nico Iamaleava Notifies Tennessee Football of His Future Plans

Nico Iamaleava has officially made his decision on the next step in his career after parting ways with the Tennessee Volunteers.

Iamaleava confirmed previous reports that he would transfer to the UCLA Bruins in a post on Instagram on Sunday.

That move follows a tumultuous end to his time as the starting quarterback of the Volunteers, who elected to move on from Iamaleava after he missed a spring practice amid reported negotiations over an improved NIL deal.

Despite the disappointing manner in which his career in Knoxville came to a close, Iamaleava had kind words for Tennessee as he officially announced his decision to transfer to UCLA.

Iamaleava wrote on Instagram: “To the amazing people in Knoxville, thank you for embracing and uplifting me throughout my time there. I’ll be forever thankful for the support you showed me every step of the way and I’ll always cherish the relationships I built there and the memories I created with my brothers.
