The Panama City Beach Police Department have made multiple arrests in connection with a double homicide that occurred on Tuesday at Sunnyside Apartments.

Through witness statements, surveillance footage, and investigative efforts, 26-year-old Milan Prince Michele McKelvey of Panama City Beach was identified as the primary suspect. It was also confirmed that McKelvey had a prior history of domestic violence involving one of the victims.

PCBPD said on March 12 that they arrested McKelvey for domestic violence by strangulation and tampering with a victim. On March 13, he was issued a no-contact order and released on bond. According to officials, at 6:33 p.m., deputies with the Walton County Sheriff’s Office located McKelvey’s vehicle being driven by his stepfather, 46-year-old Marwan Gordon of Panama City. Gordon was driving to the home of McKelvey’s mother, 62-year-old Tangela McKelvey. Gordon has been arrested and charged with accessory to capital murder. Further investigation showed Milan McKelvey and Tangela McKelvey were driving north on Highway 331 in a black Cadillac. Both were then apprehended in Montgomery County, Alabama, by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. McKelvey has been charged with two open counts of murder, and Tangela has been charged as an accessory to capital murder.
