Dogs & husband! Man City & Lionesses star Chloe Kelly reveals adorable custom shin pads for new WSL season
The Euro 2022 winner, who famously netted the winning goal for the Lionesses as they claimed a prestigious continental crown, is counting down the days to the start of the new WSL season. City have been in Perth finalising their preparations for the upcoming campaign.

Gareth Taylor’s side pushed Chelsea all the way in a thrilling 2023-24 title race, which saw Emma Hayes claim another trophy before departing for the USWNT, and the intention is to compete on multiple fronts once again.

Kelly will be key to those plans, and the 26-year-old forward is raring to go. She has enjoyed a busy summer off the field, with several international team-mates attending her wedding to long-time partner Scott Moore on July 24.

An image from that exchanging of vows now figures on Kelly’s shin pads, along with one of her two dogs. She will be hoping that having her nearest and dearest close to her at all times while inspire more talismanic performances for club and country over the course of the next 10 months – taking in domestic action and the defence of a European Championship title with England in Switzerland next summer.
