2024 MLB trade deadline recap: Dodgers, Padres, Mets go for it.
The 2024 MLB trade deadline has officially passed, with Jack Flaherty being dealt to the Los Angeles Dodgers minutes before 6 p.m. ET arrived on Tuesday.
While this year’s deadline day did not have the same draw as last year’s — when Justin Verlander to the Houston Astros highlighted a flurry of deadline day activity — there were a number of impactful moves in addition to Flaherty, such as the San Diego Padres trading for closer Tanner Scott, the Baltimore Orioles snagging Trevor Rogers, Mark Leiter Jr. going to the New York Yankees and much more as pitching deals ruled the day.
